Community Health
National Service Society organizes several numbers of medical camps on yearly basis in each community understanding the communities felt need. Frequent health checkups are conducted at Pakalveedu (day care for elderly) and childrens Creches. outREACH recently conducted Ayurveda medical camp at Tholur ( Thrissur), medical camps in association with Rajagiri Medical College and Aster Medcity, Cataract Eye Camp by Little Flower Hospital and urology Health camp at Pallikara, Pattimattam, Paingottoor in Ernakulam district.
National Service Society are jointly having medical insurance scheme with the support of United India Insurance Company. A total of 441 families from 18 th ward of Kadughalloor Grama Panchayath are beneficiaries of the scheme outREACH Clinics Two clinics are rendering primary health care services functioning at Rotary Karmakendra with the support of Rotary Club of Kalamassery and TOG Colony of Kalamassery with the support of St.Joseph Hospital, Manjummal.
Kerala State AIDS Control Society (KSACS) working for Migrant laborers has entered into its 9 th and 7 th phase in the Ernakulam District spread over 2 Project areas respectively based at Ernakulam and Perumbavoor. outREACH is the implementing agency for Suraksha projects functioning at Ernakulam and Perumbavoor sanctioned by Kerala State AIDS Control Society (KSACS) working for Migrant labourers. The project is to reduce HIV /AIDS prevalence in Kerala targeting migrants in Ernakulam District. Along with HIV /AIDS prevention program, health camp, health education, exhibitions, film shows etc. are conducted to reduce on problems in health,sanitation and hygiene.
